Oakleaf tailor

About

My name is Ingvild Kvarstein Punsvik, and I finished my "Journeyman's papers" as a ladies tailor in 2009. Oakleaf tailor was first started up in Longyearbyen in 2009, then under the name "Skredder Punsvik" (Punsvik's tailoring), and was run part-time for two years while I was a student.
Fast-farward ten years on a different career path, but always with a sewing workshop in the house. Textiles was always the passion I could not lay aside, and as I have started up the business again I no longer have to try.
I offer bespoke tailoring, repairs, alterations and made-to-measure garments, as well as other textile projects.

I am enthusiastic about traditional textile crafts and historical costuming, and have actively participated in the 'living history' community for more than 15 years. I have an interest in a broad spectrum of historical periods and I am always keen to expand my repertoire.
